An Epistemic Analysis of the Attributes of Ahl al-Bayt in the Mirror of the Hadith of Kasa

Knowing the Ahl al-Bayt and following them, which, according to the verse of mavaddat, friendship, has been counted the only reward for the Prophet's mission, is a fact that paying attention to it makes a person achieve the happiness of this world and the hereafter. One of the important sources for the knowledge of Ahl al-Bayt`s infallibility and purity is the hadith of Kasa narrated by Jabir bin Abdullah Ansari. This hadith is the revelation of the purification verse and is full of educational and epistemic teachings. The present research has extracted and explained the characteristics of the Ahl al-Bayt in the field of knowledge with the descriptive-analytical method, from the verses of the hadith of Kasa, so that knowing them causes love and obedience to them. The findings of the article show that the most important attributes of the Ahl al-Bayt in the hadith of al-Kisa include innocence, and intercession of good, surely answered prayers, and being in contact with the unseen.
