Imam Sajjad’s life coincided with the formation of the Tabein schools of interpretation. In this era, the methods and types of interpretation expanded compared to the era of the Companions. The political and social conditions of Imam Sajjad’s era caused the Imam to pay special attention to the sciences of the Quran and interpretation in order to lead the intellectual and religious lives of Muslims. About three hundred interpretive narrations have been narrated from Imam Sajjad, which contain different types such as: explanation of words, expression of the status and space of revelation, concept, etc. on various topics, including ethics. The present study, using descriptive-statistical and analytical methods, has dealt with the classification, typology, and statistical analysis of this Imam’s interpretive narrations, with an ethical approach. From this analysis, it is clear that Imam Sajjad, considering the cultural and political conditions, paid special attention to the realization of moral education and refinement, especially individual ethics, with his speech and behavior.
