The discussion of meaning and essence of truth has been discussed among philosophers and epistemologists since the past. In the meantime, the correspondence theory is the most popular theory in fact. According to this point of view, truth means "correspondence of mental statement with reality". However, with the problems raised by contemporary epistemologists, alternative theories such as internal coherence, utilitarianism, relativity and reductionism have been mentioned for it, and they are not immune to failures and ambiguities. The main reason for this theory is its innateness and self-evidentness, and for this reason, many scientists have taken it for granted. In addition to that, there are evidences from the verses of the Qur'an and narrations, as well as the opinion of the commentators and the hadith scholars, which all indicate the centrality and innateness of this theory. According to various scientific works that have dealt with this issue from a philosophical point of view, the intra-religious investigation of this issue deserves investigation. So, the purpose of this research is to mention the evidences within the religion with the library method and analytical-interpretive approach to prove the point of view. In this article, it is proved that the correct approach in the criterion of truthfulness is correspondence with reality, and from an intra-religious point of view, the meaning of correspondence with reality is self-evident.
